Minutes:

Cllr Allan Fairhead declared that he was named in the evidence log to be considered at 108/18.

To receive the Minutes of the meeting of the previous Personnel Committee

Minutes:

The minutes of the previous Personnel meeting were considered and approved.

To conside the report of the Clerk

Recommendation:

Members are recommended to agree that the sickness absence management policy continues to be implemented.

 

Minutes:

The Clerk reported on the annual sickness absence rate of Hythe and Dibden Parish Council staff that remains very low in comparison with other councils.

 

            RESOLVED

 

            To continue to implement the sickness absence management policy

To consider the report of the Clerk

Recommendations:

a.     the salary budget for 2020 – 2021 be agreed at £420,304 subject to there being an agreed pay award of 2%;

b.     The new accredited community safety officer salaries be added to the workforce budget when agreed by Council;

c.     If the pay award is different to 2% a revised workforce budget be returned to Personnel Committee

 

Minutes:

The report of the Clerk regarding the Workforce Budget for 2020 – 2021 was considered.

 

            RESOLVED

Exclusion of the Press and Public

To resolve that the press and public be excluded from the Council Meeting for the following item (15) of business on the grounds it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12 of the Local Government Act 1972.

 

Minutes:

Following a previous request from the Chairman of the Council, the Clerk left the meeting.

HR Issue - staff risk assessments

Minutes:

The Committee considered a report from the Clerk.

 

RESOLVED

 

1.    That a sub - group is formed  to consider the issues raised by the Clerk’s report

 

2.    The sub - group will be made up of Cllr Philip Dowd, Cllr Allan Fairhead and Cllr Melody Roberts.
