I have been a Parish Councillor since 2007 and was re-elected for my third consecutive term in May this year.  I was originally elected to represent the Furzedown ward from 2007-2015.  During this time I moved home and decided to stand in the ward where I now live which is Hythe West, following the retirement of the brilliant long serving Councillor, Maureen Robinson.  My Parish ward has two representatives on the Council, myself and Trevor Johnson.  The ward I represent includes the Hollybank Estate, Highlands Way area, and up to Orchard Junior school.  I am also, as of May 2015, a New Forest District Councillor.  I sit on the General Purposes and Licensing Committee.  I represent the Hythe West area and Langdown area, including all the Dreamland estate and South Street.

In my time as a Parish Councillor I have been the Vice Chairman and chaired the Planning Committee.  I am the second youngest member of the Council at the age of thirty.

I have lived in Hythe and Dibden for almost all my life. I lived in Dibden Purlieu for twenty seven years, before living in with my partner for two years in Southampton.  In early 2014 we bought our first house at the top of Hollybank.  I attended both Orchard School and Noadswood Schools as a child.  I work for Red Arrow Ltd.  I have previously worked for the New Forest Visitor Centre, Tesco,  Aspectvision and for a Soap magazine!

I am a third generation Councillor and was inspired by my Father and Grandad, two very long serving and hard-working Councillors, to stand in the 2007 local election and to be on the Council.  I love where I am from and live and wanted to play my part in representing the views of our community. Also, I feel that the council needs members who are younger with a different perspective on our area and different life experiences.

In my time as a Councillor my proudest achievement is voting for the recruitment of the Accredited Community Safety Officers. They have served our Parish well and have been one of the biggest successes of my time on the Council.  I have represented the council at two World War 1 memorial services in the centre of Hythe and laid a wreath on behalf of the Council.  This was a huge honour.

My biggest frustration has been how long it has taken on the Forest Front Youth Club project.  I believe it will happen but it has been on the Parish plans for some time and will be of huge benefit to the younger residents when it goes ahead.

My main issues are youth facilities, littering, affordable housing, public transport and of course maintaining the character of our amazing parish. If you have any issues or casework, please do not hesitate to contact me.
