Cllr. Hickmott reported that he had attended the newly built Ivy Court Surgery for his Covid vaccination and was extremely impressed with both the build and the excellent service he received.  Cllr. Hickmott reported that his was an asset to the Town.

PHOTOVOLTAIC PANELS - INSTALLATION ON TOWN COUNCIL BUILDINGS.

 

To approve, if so agreed by the Internal Committee at the meeting on 8th March 2021:

 

(a)         the installation of PV panels at the St. Michaels Maintenance Facility;

 

(b)         the installation of PV panels and associated roofing work at:

(i)           Tenterden Recreation Ground Toilets;

(ii)         the Old Tractor Shed on Tenterden Recreation Ground.

Minutes:

 

(a)         St. Michaels Maintenance Facility.  It was RESOLVED to install photovoltaic panels on St. Michaels Maintenance Facility at a cost of £11,120.  Sources of possible funding will be investigated during the planning process (RCEF for instance) in addition to consulting with Ashford Borough Council on their installations, particularly around costings.

 

(b)         Tenterden Recreation Ground Toilet Block & Old Tractor Shed.  This proposal had been DEFERRED by the Internal Committee.

CHANGING PLACES - CREATION OF A DISABILITY FRIENDLY CHANGING FACILITY.

 

To approve, if so agreed by the Internal Committee at the meeting on 8th March 2021, expenditure associated with the conversion of part of the old tractor shed at Tenterden Recreation Ground to a “Changing Places” facility.

 

Minutes:

 

The Internal Committee had agreed to DEFER discussions regarding the installation of a changing places facility at the Tenterden Recreation Ground Tractor Shed pending further investigations with Tenterden Social Hub.

 

The Town Council moved into closed session.

Under the Public Bodies (Admissions to meetings) Act 1960, the public and press will be excluded from the closed meeting session due to the confidential nature of this part of the meeting which involves the discussion of confidential staffing matters and confidential financial negotiations.

HONORARY FREEDOM OF THE TOWN.
